Last week we said goodbye to Sabine and Christian, and Sabine played a beautiful rendition of the Canadian national anthem on the roof of Otto Maas. We wish the Kuss family the best of luck as Sabine and Christian start postdoctoral positions at Oxford University in the UK!

5th annual ecs montreal student chapter symposium (june 2015)
The 5th ECS Montreal Student Symposium took place on June 5th 2015 at McGill University, Canada, sponsored by Pine Research Instrumentation, Metrohm Canada, Snowhouse, Centre québecois sur les matériaux fonctionnels, McGill Chemistry and Association Étudiante du Secteur des sciences de l’université du Québec à Montréal along to Post-Graduate Students’ Society of McGill Universiy. More than ninety participants from eight universities in Montreal and Shebrooke City, Halifax, London as well as a national research center took part in the annual symposium. The attendees enjoyed 16 talks and 16 posters, including the two invited presentations of Prof. Jeff Dahn (Dalhousie University) and Prof. Dominic Rochefort (Université de Montréal). Prizes for the best oral and best poster presentations were awarded to Mark McArthur from McGill University and Andrew Danis from McGill University.
